Sun Power
The sun is an unlimited source of all the power we could ever need. And this is green energy. Charles Fritts constructed the first solar cell in 1883. We have advanced the industry ever since then. Well maintained photovoltaic systems provide continous power via efficient modules, even on cloudy days. The cost of these cells has even decreased over the past five years. We expect the prices to continue to fall as solar energy systems become more popular and governments join the resolution to stop global warming. However, a large increase in demand could feasibly raise the prices for solar products. But no matter how efficient the equipment is, you must first improve your conditions. Caulk you windows and doors, wrap your hot water heater with a thermal blanket and change to compact florescent lightbilbs. This will reduce the drain on any energy system.
Efficiency
The efficiency of even small PV (photovoltaic) systems has steadily increased over the last 3 years, up to 30 % on modular cells. These panels should last many years because of the increased reliability. New techologies will increase the effeciency of alternative power even more. If you insulate and use energy saving bulbs, this increased efficiency will be even greater.The length, width and thickness of these panels will contiue to get smaller and more efficient. From large grid-tied systems to useful products, we have it all. Flashlights, phone chargers, attic fans, back-up power systems, RV power kits, grid -tied systems are all extremely reliable. We are expanding our product line weekly. So check back with us regularly. We are now adding a "doubters kit" for people who must try this new industry in order to believe in it wholeheartedly. Try us. You will be convinced that these products truly work well. Due to numerous requests, we will be adding hurricane,earthquake/disaster kits by the first of the year. We have also had many requests for lanterns, lights and flashlights. We have begun work and are adding these products now.
Feasibility and Tax Incentives
Now that we have a new administration coming to Washington, a larger emphasis shoul;d be placed on alternative energy. On July 17, 2008, former Vice President Al Gore challenged America to generate 100% of our electricity from sources that do not lead to global warming-- and to do it within 10 years. Meeting this ambitious goal would create millions of new jobs and lead to permanently lower energy costs for families and businesses. He has won the Nobel Peace Prize for his global efforts to stop global carbon emissions and is considered a leading authority on global warming within the internationally community. He claims that demand for foreigh oil can be eliminated in those ten years. T. Boone Pickens also has unveiled a green energy plan. He says "It's time to stop America's addiction to oil". He has plans to create a wind power farm in Texas and he also claims that alternative fuels should be utilized and that within ten years our dependence of forein oil can be reduced greatly. He met with Senators Obama and McCain on the weekend of August 16th to discuss his plan. He states "Sometimes it takes a crisis to awaken us from our slumber. But once aroused, the American people can accomplish miracles". Every year we send almost $700 billion dolaars to other countries for their oil. Residential and commercial tax credits are available in most states as well as 30% for Federal income tax credits on most alternative energy systems. For example, North Carolina has issued a 35% tax credit for renewable energy systems. We can comfortably recommend an accountant for assistance.
